It would be good to have a phone line to be direct to the nurse as well as the doctor and it should not be up to the receptionist to say whether you can see the doctor. Are they qualified in medical matters

Thank you for your email. We have doctors and nursing staff carrying out telephone triage and available at our contact centre to assist with the calls coming through. Please be assured that although our care co-ordinators are not clinically trained, they are trained and follow the guidance provided by our clinical team.

Awful service

Called unannounced was unable to accept call, told to raise another e-consult. I am sorry I work full time why should I have to complete an econsult every day. Ongoing drama and always seems to work against their patients. I have been fighting for 18 months and getting no where.

Thank you for your feedback. When you complete an eConsult you are not provided with a confirmed date or time of call, unfortunately if we call and you are unable to take the call, a further eConsult is then required.

In and Out

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I arrived just before my appointment time. Checked where I needed to go for the nurse, within a minute was greeted by the nurse, bloods taken and out in a few minutes. Only one other staff member, no patients so was very Covid friendly. Excellent for both of us.

Not my usual surgery.

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

When I arrived there was a sign asking me to wait to be seen by a receptionist at the door. There was no receptionist and after waiting 5 mins I checked myself in using the touch screen. Didn’t have to wait too long for my appointment and the nurse was very apologetic for keeping me for a few minutes.
The nurse was brilliant! Wish I could remember her name. She was very thorough and checked through my records even though I’m registered with a different surgery. She made my procedure as comfy as possible and have to say it was the best experience of this procedure that I can remember! The nurse also noted I was eligible for a couple of immunisation boosters and so I had one of those there and then!
The only thing that could have improved my visit was the initial greeting (or non-greeting!) and erroneous instruction to wait.
