Postnatal review

Expert consultant availability

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

At long last I was able to see a consultant physiotherapist and get a proper consultation on a long standing injury. So much more involved compared to the brief dismissive doctor visits of some years ago. Seems like an emphasis on the patient as customer has been taken on board. I felt so much more positive at the end of the consultation.

Getting an appointment

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Getting an appointment was very difficult and required me to call several times, even after an econsult when I had been advised to make a face to face appointment. The system requires you to call on the dot of 10 to make an appointment on the same day. Not always possible for working people or those with important commitments. I emailed my complaint to the contact address for Portsdown Group Practice and got no reply. In the end I talked to a helpful receptionist who made an appointment the next day.
When I saw a GP he was clearly uninterested in how the process worked - telling me it was the same everywhere. Friends of mine in different practices say they are able to make routine appointments a few days in advance.

Attending for a covid 19 injection
