Phone appointment, no follow-up
This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery
Go through the rigmarole of filling in an exhaustive online form, only to have to repeat it all again to the doctor on the phone appointment, and have yet to receive any follow up after two weeks. Makes me feel like I'm just an annoyance to the practice, not a patient.

Absolute shambles of a place
This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery
Every appointment is always late, yet they have a big thing about appointment time. On my most recent appointment it left me in a situation where I walked out of the surgery without being seen. I arrived 10 mins early and checked in on the screen. There was nobody else in the surgery apart from me, it got to 10 minutes over my appointment time and a nurse appeared, as she appeared, a woman walked through the door that appeared to know the nurse and whammied an on the spot appointment in front of me. I tried to remain calm and left to avoid a confrontation. Utter disrespect for anyone with a busy working life who relies on times. If I treated my customers like this I wouldn’t have a business!

Delay in Receiving Test Results and Medication
This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery
I was seen by Mama Lindsay on 24th of November regarding my menopause symptoms. A sample was taken from me, and I was told that I would receive a call on Friday with the results and a prescription. However, I have not heard anything yet, and my symptoms have been getting worse while I am still waiting.

It was an off day
This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery
Upon arrival, the self check in system was not working leading to a long line. This isn’t the fault of the team and they were in the middle of fixing it. However as a result, a lot of patients ran over their appointment time.
The healthcare professional noticed this and asked if anyone was waiting for a blood test. As I was at the start of the queue she asked me to go first which was good.
The blood test itself was a success until the end when I felt a pain in my arm as the needle was removed.
After leaving I noticed the area was swollen and it left me unable to fully lift my arm.
Almost a week later I now have full range of my arm but left with heavy bruising and muscle pain as a result.
I have been for several blood test at this practice and this is the first time this is occurred, which is why I think it maybe was just either an accident or an off day.

Left without medicine again!
This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery
Every single month when my repeat prescription is due, I experience problems – and this latest situation has been the worst so far.
My wife handed both of our prescriptions in at the pharmacy attached to the surgery. A few days later she returned to collect them and was only given hers. When she queried this, she was told they did not recall receiving mine and that I would need to make a GP appointment.
My wife then went into reception at the GP surgery and explained the situation. She was told another prescription would be sent through.
She returned to the pharmacy again – this time only *half* of my medication was available. When she queried this, she was once again told to “take it up with the GP.”
In the end, I had to go in myself to try and speak to a doctor as I was becoming short of breath. As usual, no doctor was available. There rarely ever is.
Eventually another prescription was arranged for the missing medication — but by this point I had been **without important medication for three days**.
It took **five separate visits** just to receive a routine monthly prescription.
This is completely unacceptable. Medication is not optional – people rely on it to stay well. The lack of organisation, communication and accountability between the surgery and the pharmacy caused us unnecessary stress and could have had serious consequences for my health.
I have no confidence that this process will improve and no one should have to fight this hard to get medication they are entitled to.

After recently moving to the area and registering with the surgery they contacted me to let me know I was due some vaccine boosters. Booking was easy online and the appointment ran smoothly. Very pleased that you proactively managed this. My old doctor's surgery were not proactive at all.

Disappointing
This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery
I needed to book an appointment for a blood test so phoned in and the call handler said she would book me in on the same appointment for my B12 injection. I waited 2 weeks which is a long time when you're feeling poorly. I arrived for my appointment only for the nurse to tell me she didn't have time to do the blood test as "that wasn't how it worked". So in the time she took to tell me she didn't have time, she could have done the blood test. I was upset and frustrated as I have been unwell for some time. I spoke to a receptionist who was able to book me in for a blood test a few days later, but I still left the surgery in tears. If this is the policy then perhaps you need to make this clear to phone staff.
