Got a prescription from doctor on the same day but chemist said that cream is no longer available so rang doctors for another prescription there said would be at chemist by Monday afternoon still not there so my wife then rung the doctors again on the Monday but the receptionist was very rude to my wife and said she would follow it up for me then put the phone down on her.

Groin ache

My biggest problem was getting through your web pages. 'a simple method' was advertisd, but 40 questions and ten minuets later I managed it! I attended CPH, was very impressed with the help and came away with a perscription for antibiotics. The junior doctor was excellent and I will with some trepidation, no doubt have to go through the same, understandable checks before I get help again for other ailments. Of course I am happy to do that and am very grateful to ALL at CPH and the NHS. thank you.

Thanks for the feedback. I assume you are referring to our econsult web forms. There are a number of questions and these are all out of our control to change - but we also know they are to rule out anything that would be seen as a 'red flag' - so we are pleased you persisted! Thank you for your kind words which we will share with the team.

Excellent service. I called in the morning for an emergency appointment and was seen at 1030 that morning. The GP that I saw was very professional and referred me straight to QA MAU for tests. Thankfully these came back clear but I appreciate his thoroughness.

It's good when it works like it should but sometimes it's a painful experience just getting through, the 4 is only because you do very well mostly.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry you find getting through to us painful at times - that's quite the opposite of what we want! We do of course have busy times of the day when we have extra resource but cannot avoid a bit of a wait, and if we have filled all our appointments we do try and help with advice and signposting, which still takes time! We do urge patients to keep trying if the queue tells you it is full, it won't be long before you can get in - and stay in the queue when you do get through. We understand being position 18 in the queue sounds daunting, but we assure you that it does not mean you will be waiting a long time to get through to us! We have recently updated our call queue information to share average waiting times for reassurance. If you do not have an urgent medical issue then please do use our econsult service https://portsdowngrouppractice.webgp.com/ - it will save you having to call at all!

Asthma Review

3 out of 5 stars

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I received a request to inform the Asthma Clinic of my up to date condition. I was informed originally that I would be contacted by someone I informed them that I did not have the facility on my Mobile. I kept on getting requests. I contacted the surgery but still kept getting messages. Eventually I visited the surgery almost 2 wks ago & completed an Asthma Form. I then received a further request so phoned again this time was informed by a very nice lady that she would amend the records & inform the relevant dept. I have since received more texts. In over 25yrs this is the first time I have not received first class treatment & am getting extremely annoyed. Could this please be sorted out?

Getting a sick certificate was very easy and straightforward. User friendly system and a charming, stmpathetic GP. Having bloods taken again very slick with friendly, efficient phlebotomist. However actually getting into the surgery was slightly more problematic. Theres a sign at the entrance to press the buzzer to gain admittance, there were 3 of us waiting for several minutes but ot be homest I'm not sure the receptionists could hear it. Generally good experience though.

Very quick and hassle free, 5 minutes with the Doctor. My original symptoms were discussed and I was happy. Whilst on the phone, my GP explained that a smear and immunisation vaccines were due. These were arranged for that day.Hassle free booking in service at the selected surgery. Everything is on track. Very happy.

I feel very lucky that we have a surgery that fits in emergency appointments,.
I just needed to talk to and see face to face some one that could help me.
The pain was awful , it`s the not knowing what to do is the problem.
I saw the Practice nurse and The Doctor, I am still in pain but now can keep it under control, hopefully soon I will be able to go out for a walk, but not at the moment. I have done some thing to my Gluteus maximus, the largest muscle in the body. So I was told.
