Staff were friendly and nurse was welcoming and put me at ease and professional nothing was to much trouble and explained any questions I had which made me feel reassured, only downside was not knowing area found it difficult to find and no parking available as it is permit area.

Thank you for your positive feedback which will be shared with the team. There is not a great deal of parking at Somerstown - unfortunately this is not something we can do much about - though fortunately the transport links and access to car parks / road parking in adjacent areas is fairly good

The sister who saw me was excellent. Very efficent and put me at ease during a procedure that is never pleasant. She had everything ready in advance and I can't fault the care I received.

Covid Vaccination experience

Traveled for covid jab arranged by my Crookhorn Surgery, on arrival checked for temperature and details very quick, ushered to next stage greeted by helper to door in corridor straight in to see doctor, details checked by assistant, jab given, not felt, then given card with details and next appointment date confirmed, on to waiting area for 15 minute wait timed by assistant and advised when time was up and out through side door, felt safe throughout as set up seemed very well set up.

The practice is far too big. I personally don't even know who is my doctor these day's, it always seems to be a locum. if i can even see a doctor at all.

Thank you for your feedback. You only need to ask who your registered doctor is and we can share that information with you. It may be viewable via Online services. However you have the option of seeing who you choose for routine appointments, on the understanding that you may wait longer if you choose to do this. All of our clinicians can access your medical history to have an understanding of any medical presentation.

We have not employed a locum in over a year - so I am unsure who you have seen recently - they may be a part time member of staff or a colleague who usually works at another site. We are lucky that our staff do move to where they are needed at times.

We do also employer a wider healthcare team as a doctor is not always the most appropriate person to deal with the medical issue - we will always direct you to the most suitable resource.

Dealt with really promptly

Apart from the long wait on the phone lines and the staff answering the phone needing a few lessons in people skills, I have to say I was dealt with really promptly and have no complaints about the service and the secretary that rang me was lovely.

Thanks for your feedback. You should have been advised on booking in about the student, but I appreciate with check in screens this can get missed. Please do not ever feel you cannot express if you are not happy to have a second clinician in the room - our staff and students are very used to it!
