Disappointing

I needed to book an appointment for a blood test so phoned in and the call handler said she would book me in on the same appointment for my B12 injection. I waited 2 weeks which is a long time when you're feeling poorly. I arrived for my appointment only for the nurse to tell me she didn't have time to do the blood test as "that wasn't how it worked". So in the time she took to tell me she didn't have time, she could have done the blood test. I was upset and frustrated as I have been unwell for some time. I spoke to a receptionist who was able to book me in for a blood test a few days later, but I still left the surgery in tears. If this is the policy then perhaps you need to make this clear to phone staff.

Not a great experience

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I have now had to do a 3rd sample due to form being lost then the second time sample being lost. When I came back to collect pots the 3rd time, young receptionist was quite dismissive “well did you fill out the form correctly” of course I had. Now after handing in the 3rd stool sample, I get a text today to repeat. This is now prolonging me getting an appointment for a colonoscopy.

Recent appointment

I came to have stitches out which was no problem. I had a blood test booked for the following day and asked if I could have it done while I was there to save me coming back the next day and was told I couldn't. I appreciate people are busy but it would have taken 2 mins to take some blood to save me making another journey which I did. Poor customer service

Unfortunately, it isn't as simple as taking blood in 2 minutes - it is a 5 minute appointment. Our clinicians appointments are back to back, so if they were to fit you in without an appointment, it would make the rest of the days appointments run behind. I think it is perfectly acceptable for you to come back the next day. If you had asked at an earlier date when you knew that you had to have both appointments, then we may have been able to accommodate you.

Blood test

I was referred for a blood test which led to me being told I should have a B12 jab. I came to the surgery and was told by the receptionist that she would ask Dr Mosley if I should have 1 jab or a course of jabs. I called in twice more but no reply had been received but I was told I should have another blood test and was booked in. I was told I would then be contacted regarding the second test but I have not been. So no follow up to either blood test. I have seen on my NHS app that results were normal although one result showed as satisfactory.

I put the request in on the day and in the afternoon I got appointment, the nurse/doctor Emily saw me, was so understanding, she helped me with my issue, found things that I could try to help (complicated as I am). She didn't give up, even after the appointment she found something that could help me, thank you. I have a few appointments now, one which I struggled to get and all before xmas, thank you so much

Everyone is so friendly. Best doctor surgery I’ve been to. Receptionists, nurses and phlebotomists (the only people I have spoken to) are all so so friendly and easy to talk to. Really great service which you don’t find these days
