Diabetic clinic

As always Nicky was understanding and cared I had recently lost two brothers and my sister in law to Covid and I was not looking after myself so it showed up in my blood test but this one was better and she phoned to tell me which was good.

Smear test

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I had been putting off my smear test but finally plucked up the courage to book it at Crookhorn surgery. The nurse was very welcoming and put me at ease straight away. She was very professional and extremely knowledgable, explaining things to me that had never been explained before. It was all over in minutes.

Great reception staff and nurse

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I could not get through on the phone (we are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic) so used the online service and got a call back shortly after. The staff member who called was friendly and very helpful as was the nurse who saw me at my subsequent appointment.

Many thanks for your positive feedback around our online services - we do encourage patients to use this for non urgent queries as it does alleviate pressure on the phone system to those that really must use it. I hope you were so impressed you will use it again, and again!

Needing a nurse

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Daughter has been isolating who normally keeps a eye on me and I am housebound and disabled and I live alone. Carer reported I needed legs seen, as very sore and swollen. Daughter rung GP surgery 5 times each time automated call said we are busy try later. Finally after 1 hour she got in a queue of 15 people. Spoke to secretary who said we full ring 111. Daughter rung 111 and physician said do not know your Dad and what legs look like. They said would request a community nurse visit...Next day still no visit...Then daughter got 2 calls. One from a GP who was very helpful and was going to arrange a visit. Other call was from district nurse people to say No! not coming today. Too busy. Luckily the GP sorted out a nurse visit that evening.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Due to the closure of the Hanway Practice (where I received excellent service), I have been registered with the Portsdown Group. Twice recently I have had dealings with them and the service I received from Josh and Lauren was second to none. Very pleased so far. :)

Dr appointment during pandemic

As many I delayed seeing Dr for a non Covid reason. Called and received a triage call back in less than 10 mins. Appointment within 1 hour, felt extremely safe whilst in surgery and was seen and treated excellent service and many thanks to all.

Early morning appt

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

Managed to get last minute appt for early morning (rang the afternoon before), arrived on time, when i got in there all ok and ataff were friendly.
Only thing i would say is if people have to use different entrance if appt is before aurgery is open, maybe worth mentioning it to the patient when appt is booked.
