Confused.

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

St Mary's Treatment centre notified me and Crookhorn surgery of a heart problem detected by ecg during pre op assessment. I arranged a telephone consultation online with a Crookhorn doctor (as advised by St Mary's) who arranged a blood test and ecg which confirmed the condition. The nurse noting the high irregular heart rate sought advice from duty doctor who prescribed treatment. After 5 days of treatment I felt unwell and very anxious so attempted to make an appointment to see a doctor. The appointment was for further test of BP and pulse rate by nurse who again decided to seek advice from the duty doctor who prescribed a lower dose treatment. I have had no feedback from a doctor regarding my blood test which indicated some abnormal readings. I left the Crookhorn surgery feeling more anxious that a doctor has not provided the time to speak to me. I am still recovering from the affects of Covid detected 12/12/2020 as is recorded on my records.

Smooth efficient procedure

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

The telephone invitation to accept an appointment was efficient and very politely conducted. We were given sequential appointments so were able to stay together throughout and were done as a couple. We were very lucky with the weather while we were standing outside for about 20 minutes - I accept that there is no real alternative to this. The actual vaccination process was also smooth, courteous and efficient. Very pleased overall, thanks to everyone involved.

Good service once they answer phone

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I receive a good or very good standard of service once I crack the phone system and get through to a medical professional or member of the support staff. I recently spent two and half hours dialing or waiting in a queue to speak to a member of staff to make an appointment.

'Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do offer an alternative facility of eConsult which is available on our website, if you are able to access.

Lovely and welcoming

Happy with the measures put in place with the current Covid restrictions. Seemed to have a good system operating and the nurse I saw was lovely and welcoming.

Crookhorn Lane Surgery

Not impressed with the surgery with regards to my husband, he suffered a cardiac arrest before Xmas 2019 and not one of the doctors checked in on how he was doing.

Thank you for your feedback. It is regrettable, but we do not have the capacity to follow-up with patients after admittance to hospital, unless the specialists specifically request for us to either provide treatment/medication or review.

Cannot find fault

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I felt very safe when I had to come for my blood test. I have been with the Portsdown practice for 42 years when it was opposite the Kingston Police office and the whole of that time cannot find fault. Some receptionist have been awkward but I think they have had to deal with awkward patients.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, my only concern is the phones are always so busy, when trying to book my Covid jab i tried 50 times in two days before I got through, only to be told that they had run out of stock. Thankfully I have now had my first one. It was very a stressful time.
