As per usual with Portsdown group practice very professional and that also gives you confidence with their care. The queue was about 45 minutes out in the rain but worth the wait with everyone in good spirits.

Online consultation

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

Once again I have used the online consultation service and again a fantastic service. I always feel like I’m wasting my GPs time by visiting the practice to review my repeat prescriptions but by doing it online with a quick phone conversation it was over and done with, safely and securely.

To whey to long to get seen

After trying for 2 days I got through for a doctor to call back, I was asked to be at CPH at 9:20 I arrived at 9:10 got call in at 10:35, not very happy sat there for that amount of time, even after see a doctor, he still didn’t resolve one of the things I went there for.

At times, particularly in urgent appointment sessions, we have unexpected and unavoidable delays.

Early Morning appointment.

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

My early morning appointment (7-45 am) was a telephone call from the GP. I did not hear the instructions properly and went to Crookhorn Surgery instead for the appointment. The staff were very sincere and asked the doctor as I had turned up, would he see me instead. He said "yes of course, no problem". I was satisfied with the outcome, as it was only a review of my tables. He was very helpful and it was good to see him face to face.

Appointment mix up

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I was given an appointment to attend Kingston Crescent surgery. The day of the appointment I received a phone call cancelling the appointment and it was rearranged for a later date. I attended my appointment to be told I had been booked in to the wrong surgery and needed to go to Somerstown, a further appointment was made for the next day. I cannot understand how an appointment can get so mixed up, especially when I was contacted to rearrange. In a time when we are advised to stay at home, I'm at a loss how mistakes like these can be made, meaning I had to attend 2 Dr's surgeries increasing my risk.

Hi All.
If it helps anyone to decide on taking the vaccine shot, this is the experience I have had with the Covid Pfizer vaccine.
As I am 88 years old, taking all the usual medication for my age, I was offered the Pfizer vaccination.
Had the first shot Dec 18th 2020, minor ache at the arm injection site , otherwise no problems.
Second booster shot 8th Jan 2021, minor arm and a sniffy nose for a couple of days, no other problems.
The required 7 days since that last shot have passed.
I am now advised I have 90% to 95% immunity against being seriously ill with Covid.

BTW: The vaccination service at the Kingston Surgery Portsmouth was impressive and well organised.
