Nurse Visit
This is a review for Heyward Road Surgery & Practice
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Was seen as soon as I got there, which is great in comparison to previous times where there was an issue with wait times. And I also liked that I was actually (surprisingly) able to get quick appointments at Heyward Road surgery, as opposed to being forced to go to Somerstown Surgery, which is further than the other closest surgery to me on Victoria Road South (Ramilies), so that wouldn't have made sense at all!

Phone consultation
This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery
The doctor who called was very thorough and we covered three areas of concern - one unexpected, which has solved a prescription problem. I am glad I had this consultation as I had a feeling I should have bloods done and the doctor established this was necessary. I was also given a useful online line for problems with my jaw area. I feel that taking time and talking about my concerns thoroughly has made me more confident about using this service.

Patient Care 5*
This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery
About a month ago, l developed a ringing sensation in my ears. It affected my quality of life. Including sleep deprivation. In the first instance, l attended Cosham Park House Surgery, where l was seen by Laura, a Nurse Practitioner. After a thorough examination, she diagnosed, an acute ear infection. She prescribed medication , with a caveat, should the symptoms persist. To make a further appointment after 5 days. Initially the prescribed medication helped. However, the symptoms, ringing in the ears and other noises developed. As a consequence, l made an appointment and was contacted on the telephone by Dr Stubbs. Who prescribed another medication. Over the following days, this medication helped. But there were no improvements in the constant, unrelenting ear ringing and noises. I contacted the surgery and was afforded another appointment. I attended and was initially seen by another Nurse Practitioner ( apologies for not recording her name). This Nurse Practitioner examined my ears and given the history, decided to seek further advise. As a consequence, l was examined by Dr Gadson. Who concurred with the previous diagnosis. That there was an ear infection, harnessed with a diagnosis of tinnitus. I was subsequently prescribed further medication. This helped initially. But it is appreciated tinnitus, is a continual debilitating ear condition. Which is almost impossible to treat. Saying that, whilst my ear condition persists. l would like to formally record, the outright professional, dedicated and outright patient care, l received from every member, of the Cosham Park House Surgery Team. From the initial telephone response, to the greeting by the receptionists, the Nurse Practitioners and Doctors. Thank you.

Face masks
This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery
On the 10th Nov at approx 1pm a lady was let into the surgery by a receptionist who clearly new her as she was greeted with i didn't recognise you. She proceeded to into the building passing me i noticed she wasn't wearing any face covering, having finished whatever she came to do she again passed me and i aske3her why she wasn't wearing a mask she didn't respond so i asked again and again no response she appeared to me to have a smirk and i did say it's not a laughing matter and she left. A receptionist asked me not to raise my voice so i asked her why she hadn't had a mask on and she didn't know. I have phoned Maria and lef a message on the 11th Nov bu as yet no reply.

Crookhorn Lane surgery review
This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery
Reception staff very helpful when I have called at the surgery. Doctors non-existent!! Think they have hibernated! Extremely difficult to even speak to a doctor on the phone and no home/surgery visits at all. Drastic improvements need to be made otherwise might as well just use pharmacies in future.

With the ever-increasing demands on our services, it is simply not possible or, indeed, appropriate for all our patients to see or speak to a GP, particularly for urgent problems. All of our Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners are fully clinically trained and supported by an on-site duty doctor if they need any assistance whatsoever. Home visits are attended for those who are registered as housebound, where we cannot attend, we use the third party to assist with these visits.

Failed to receive flu jab
This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery
I made an appointment for a flu jab, choosing Crookhorn Surgery where Portsdown had appointments. There was no guidance on the website, I believed from government statements that I fell into the second phase, 50-64 from 1st November and it was the responsible thing to do. The nurse informed me that only the most vulnerable were entitled to a flu jab, that didn't include me.

Thank you for your feedback. We vaccinated the most vulnerable cohort of patients initially, and then moved onto the 50-64 when advised to do so by the government.
