Surgery experience.

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I rang bell. Arrived at 15.45 appointment was at 16.00. Unfortunately I was feeling very poorly, had a urine infection but didn't know at the time. I thought I was going to miscarry my baby only 10 weeks. The receptionist said you can come in at 15.55 there was no one in the nurses area waiting so I managed to sit on the wall out side. Went in at 15.55 and the nurse came to take me in, I took a urine sample. And it was an infection. Still feel very unwell I don't think the antibiotics are working yet. Nurse was very helpful.

Arthritis

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I've been suffering from arthritis/oesteoarthritis /rheumatism since 10 yrs ago and since this Feb. suspect Rheumatoid Arthritis and was prescribed 5 types painkillers, none heals except relieve pain. This year unable to walk without Support/stick on many occasions. Had requested for referral to Rheumatologist but never hear anything from GP. VV. Difficult to get appointment.

Vaccine appointment

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

The actual appointment went very well. When I rang to make it the message on the phone gave me the impression that unless my request was urgent I shouldn’t try and make an appointment. There was no problem once I got through but I could have decided that I wasn’t appropriate and rung off. I think the phone message could be reviewed as the NHS is open .

I give 5 big stars, as I am new to this practice I found the staff from reception, nurse, Doctor e.t.c very friendly, lovely respective. The practice wad clean and not far from home. Well done everyone.

Staff were all warm and welcoming. I was not pestered once about not wearing a mask which goes a long way. I was dealt with swiftly and efficiently and left with a very positive opinion.

Recent ex-patient

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I cannot understand how this surgery has changed so much! I do not feel that I have received proper consideration of my current problem in several weeks, and because of it, have now been forced to change to a different practice, which has done more in the space of 10 days than Cosham Park House did in several weeks! After happily spending over five and a half years with the Portsdown Group Practice, it was a sad, and not easily made decision by me, to leave the practice.

Flu vaccine

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

Quick and efficient with friendly staff. It was very difficult trying to telephone the surgery so that I could make an appointment for my 94yr old mother to coincide with my appointment I had made on line and in the end I took the option of repeat medication on the telephone just so that I could talk to someone and the lady who answered was very helpful.

Friendly and as expected

This is a review for Paulsgrove Surgery

Friendly service from all staff - they looked after my bike as there was nowhere to lock it. Nurse who administered flu vaccine was friendly and quick. Appointment was on time. All in all, a good experience.

I needed an opinion about an ongoing condition and medication. I requested to speak to Dr.Mannings. I received a thorough telephone assessment and successful consultation about my condition and the medication for it. I had prior to this been reviewed with the pharmacist who felt he was unable to diagnose and referred me back to Dr.

Repeated attemps to access the phone

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I was delt with by the Nurse and all went well as did the visit for flue injection.
But the telecoms service is disgusting rang over thirty times in two days just to be told they are handling high call rates and told me to call back and cut the phone off. In the recent past I rang got hold of reception sorted out problem only to have the line left open to listen to the lady speak to her college you certainly need patients to deal with these patients, I was not amused!

Thank you for your feedback. We do limit the number of patients who can be held in the phone queue, to avoid people waiting a long time on the phone, at potential expense. We do appreciate it can be frustrating, but do keep trying as the queue is live and within a very short space of time you will find that you get through. We can listen to most calls if you contact us within 30 days, should you feel the service was not professional.

A showcase for best practise

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I attended the surgery for a flu jab. The reception was extremely well organised with just 4 chairs spaced well apart. I was met at the door, my temperature taken, signed in using the touch screen and seen promptly.
So many people I know complain about their GP practices, but Crookhorn surgery has always been exemplary.
