'Flu and tetanus jabs

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

My wife and I attended the surgery for our annual 'flu jabs. We were met efficiently and helpfully at the entrance and seen by the nursing assistant very quickly. We were told we both were also due for a tetanus booster, which we received from Dr Ozzard. I also collected a private prescription. The whole experience was very well organised and friendly.

Getting a blood test and flu jab

Temp taken at door. All usual hygiene practices in place. Checked in, sat down for just a moment and taken through for treatment, no waiting. Outside again in just a few minutes.

Thank you for your feedback. With the ever-increasing demands on our services, it is simply not possible or, indeed, appropriate for all our patients to see a GP, particularly for urgent problems. All of our Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners are fully clinically trained and supported by an on-site duty doctor if they need any assistance whatsoever.

You would have been given 5 but the point was lost after trying to phone for a appointment a few weeks ago gave up after two and half hours. I know you can book on line but unfortunately that is out of the question for me. Having. Said all this 2minutes with reception staff all done.

Call back re my breathing

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I phoned on a Thursday to try and make an appointment, and was told that someone from the Respiratory Team would contact me, no time or date given. Eventually on Monday lunchtime someone from the respiratory team phoned me, and just talked. I explained my breathing had got worse, and I had more phlegm and my coughing had got worse. I was sent two emails and that was it. The emails were not clickable on, and one of websites does not work properly. No suggestion I should see anyone about my problem.

Poor service

I was a accused of being aggresive, i was in fact at work when i received the unexpected call. I was in an echoy environment and was flasterered due to the call. The lady advised a doctor would call on Wednesday 23rd to review my medication. That call never happened and i am still waiting for the call. I do believe this didn't happen due to the accusation from the lady. My medication does need reviewing asap due to my mental health.

There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Layout changes not thoroughly thought through.

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

The waiting area is laid out "according to the Government's Advice".
The entrance is blocked with chairs. A hand sanitiser is available.A member of the staff is available to ask about Coronavirus symptoms.
The chairs are distanced.
UNFORTUNATELY
There is no access planned for wheelchairs; a space a metre wide is necessary, with no tight curve.
The hand sanitiser is not highlighted by a coloured backing plate. It has no Drip Tray.
The space to take temperatures and ask questions is too tight.
The log in station is inaccessible, with no smooth progression.
