My appointment was for 11,40 am. I rang the front door bell at 11.30 and was admitted to the waiting area, remembering to use hand sanatizer laid on, before 'booking in' I was promptly attended to at approximately 11.40 and within 5 minutes had had my injection, and had left the surgery by 11.50.

I find it difficult to get through to the GP practice as forever on hold. Staff do treat you respectfully but lately I have been to do an EConsults rather than speaking to a GP. I think it may be a good idea for the GP to review the patients notes before speaking to the patient.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

I found Hanway surgery unhelpful. Patients should be be made aware when changes occur! Booking prescription online impossible. Tried several times without success using imformation that was provided by surgery. More communication needs to be put in place between surgery and pharmacy. Was unawre that I had to request repeat prescription from pharmacy, I tried 3 days to contact surgery without success, contacted Kingston road and was told to request prescription from pharmacy. I did that as by now I had run out of medication for high blood pressure and hht medication but still had to wait a further 2 days.

Thank you for your feedback. Due to the high demand on GP services, it is regrettable, but necessary, for patients' to take ownership for ensuring timely requests for the medication they require. We would suggest your sign up for on-line prescription requests to avoid any delays.

Tried to get a prescription review. Telephone recorded messages are confusing as incorrect, telling you what time to call and then when you do office is closed. I was told my prescription had been sent to pharmacy, turned up only to discover this was not true. When you do speak to a person, some can be quite abrupt and brusque. One girl barked at me for my date of birth as i had not heard what she said and stupidly told her my name. I get ghe impression that reception staff find us patients as stupid and an inconvenience.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you find our Reception staff to be "abrupt and brusque" we would like to assure you that all of our staff are fully trained in customer care. They do, however, work in what can, at times, be a stressful environment and have to endure unacceptable levels of abuse. Thank you for your feedback, we are currently working hard to reduce our 'Do Not Attends,' in August at Cosham Park House 135 appointments were not attended, this is a total of lost clinician time of 55.3 hours or 2.3 weeks, an average cost of £1,729. If these had been cancelled more appointments would have been available to others.

I was pleased to learn that my results were normal but do have to say it would have been nice to have all the details. This is both for myself and for a private (very experienced) nutritionist I see. However, the doctor concerned was thorough in other ways and listened to concerns and was able to respond well. We got cut off at one point but she rang back to make sure we had finished and that I was OK.

Having an appointment during covid I felt very safe in the surgery. The safe were friendly and said that was need to be done within the surgery. The receptionist was very quick to react to a person trying to attend the surgery who wasn't wearing a mask, explaining them politely they couldn't walk in.
