Good attention given and organised well

Crookhorn Surgery is very good once you are there but trying to get an appointment is very difficult having to go through the phone system there are times when it would be better to be able to phone Crookhorn direct, and much quicker if you are just wanting some results,

Kingston Crescent Surgery

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I found the signage outside relatively confusing. The door was open when I came and it told me to go to the check in desk but when I came in they told meI shouldn't have. Very quiet as only people with prebooked appointments allowed in and temp checks on way in are beneficial. Still a bit of a wait but expected.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Never Been There

I am a patient of Hanway Group Practice. I attended Hanway Road surgery for a blood test appointment.
I have never attended Cosham Park House, and don't intend to do so. I live nowhere near that surgery.
Hanway have become part of the Portsdown Group practice, but I wish they hadn't, as Hanway have been a great surgery.

Covid visit

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I highly recommend Portsdown group practice as a whole but unfortunately, my first time visiting Somerstown surgery was not as expected. Having never visited before, I did not know of another entrance to the building other than the main entrance. No signs had been placed to say that if we needed the surgery that we were to cross the roads and make our way to another entrance. This then made me late to my appointment trying to make calls to the surgery for information. When I arrived, the receptionist was dismissive of the need to place this information on the main entrance and claimed it wasn’t her responsibility. I was made to feel as though I was the issue for not knowing and complaints were made publicly to colleagues that Cosham Park house should know the correct number to call the reception.
On a positive note, my nurse that took my blood test was incredible. Kind, gentle and was pleased to see her again on my next visit.

Ave booked 2 incorrectly labelled appointments and failed to provide information of what I would need on arrival. I have also been asked to confirm all contact details as address and number don't match the records after 30 years with the practice. Only to receive letters to my address and texts to my number

Feedback on recent interatction

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

No great, it is difficult to get through on the phone (very painful experience), so I went in to the surgery. My query was on a repeat prescription. I was told I need a blood pressure check, I was then told I need to speak to someone on a call back. No time is given for this, I am working and not always able to answer a call without prior notice, to then be told not sure why this was scheduled. I am currently dealing with a Dr at St Marys. The whole thing was a compete waste of time.

Blood tests

I attended Crookhorn Surgery for fasting blood tests the staff were friendly, efficient, my appointment was on time, the nurse who did the test was very efficient, it was the least painful blood test l have ever had, I was finished in 5 minutes.

Diabetic review

I was very nervous about my appointment with nurse, being deaf and lip reader I struggle with masks. The nurse I saw was lovely she removed her mask and spoke clearly, she even did my blood test with no bruises. I really appreciated her patience.

Kingston Crescent

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Not sure whether this refers to visit to Kingston Crescent or when I had blood test at Somerstown as your email does not indicate this. The visit to Kingston Crescent went well. I saw Alan Davies (paramedic) who listened well and was very calm and reassuring - great manner.
If this is for Somerstown - the blood testing, this was done very efficiently and quickly and no bruise! Butterfly needles really are better for people with smaller veins. I do not know the outcomes of any tests carried out yet (also stool and urine). I would like to be able to see the results of tests online. I used to.
