Since my old practice had only recently come under the auspices of Cosham Health Surgery, (Kingston Crescent) I must profess that I was a little anxious as to the quality I might expect when I had cause to telephone your surgery a few days ago Due to being slightly hard of hearing, I am unable to recall the names of the Doctors and Nurses with whom I spoke to over the phone, but on each occasion, I received both friendly, first-class service. Most impressed, thank you.

Dr appointment

Rang for GP appointment spoke to Dr who advised that I needed to be seen...ended up as an appointment with Nurse Practitioner who needed to speak to the Dr which I knew would need to happen, so probably would have been best and saved time just to see Dr in the first place?

Thank you for your feedback. Most of the time you are triaged to the relevant clinician who can assist with your needs, however all sites do have a duty GP who is available should further assistance be required to ensure that a further appointment is needed.

Out of the way surgery

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I have chronic health issues and live in the Hilsea area, but have been forced to use this surgery as my wonderful surgery is shut!!! It has taken me 3 months to be able to have my 10-weekly B12 jab as I just couldn't get there. I got there late because my sister who drove me, couldn't find the new building. The receptionist was dreadful. She backed off and became hysterical when I went up to the screen shielded check-in desk. Only to find out that I needed to use the hand sanitizer!! Why she just couldn't ask me in a calm manner, I have no idea? However, I didn't have to wait long, and the nurse was lovely.

Heart Clinic

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I think actually it was a waste of time as it was only a few questions and the problem was I had fallen a week before and my chest and ribs were sore because of that. I did have some advice from the nurse I spoke to and she was very helpful with regards to the bruising of my chest but it wasn’t like a proper HeartClinic. In the past I had a cholesterol test to see if I was doing ok and it makes such a difference face to face. The last time I had a Heart Clinic was with Dr Kyd whom I have seen since she took over from Dr Plane. The trouble is now you are not known by any of the staff any more and the personal touch has gone. Didn’t even have a clinic for me last year. I hope when this coronavirus is over it goes back to the original way of seeing patients.

Absolutely excellent service

Phone call to surgery 20th in queue, but answered in 10 mins. Doctor rang back 10 mins later. Appt next day, excellent service, referred to hospital, phone call next day with appt for one weeks time. Absolutely excellent service.
