Excellent for emergency appointments but terrible for routine appointments

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I have never had a problem with an emergency appointment which I appreciate it is the priority. Getting a routine appointment, however is a complete nightmare and it took me weeks to get one. The phone line is either not accepting calls or you are told you are number 14 in the queue, you hold for 20 minutes and are told that there are no more appointments and to try again the next day

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Appointment mixup

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Tuesday l0th match 2.00pm. Local surgery is crookhorn but they were busy so referred to cosham, which I had never used. Reception and doctor lovely. Advised that I should have a fast blood test and booked an appointment for 8.45 next day at crookhorn surgery. I received a confirmation text but it quoted 10th march. I just thought they'd mis-typed the date. When I turned up for my appointment on the 11th I was admonished for missing my 8.45 appointment yesterday. I explained it was definitely today. Anyway no nurses were available so they managed to book an appointment for me at cosham. I attended and had my blood taken. I explained what had happened at crookhorn and they would put a note on my records to say it was not my fault. How could I go back in time? Later on in the day I received a text message telling me that I had missed the appointment from the previous day and try not to do it again.. flabbergasted.

Visit to paramedic practicner Park Avenue Cosham.

Excellent thorough treatment, only problem being prescription had nominated pharmacy printed on it. After a visit to a pharmacy in Cosham I was advised that they could not issue the medication despite having them in stock without the permission of Lloyd’s who were not answering thier phone. So after waiting half an hour, I had to drive to Lloyd’s at Crookhorn only to find a queue starting in the car park. So after waiting another hour I was informed they were out of stock and did I want their name removed, so that I could get my medication elsewhere, I eventually got the medicine at Purbrook. All this when we are trying to isolate.

This is a review for Heyward Road Surgery & Practice

Dr wasn't really interested. I know the virus is hugely important, but that was reason for my call!! Already self isolating (as healthcare staff) but despite having mild symptoms including anosmia and continual cough Dr couldn't be less interested. Felt they were also patronising in their response. Never had an issue like this at any other site. All drs I've met or spoken to have been brilliant, but not happy on this occasion.
