I have been trying to make an appointment for over 4 weeks. I've been in the queue for over an hour to be told there's no appointments, another time I'd queued for 40 minutes got put through to cosham surgery and got hung up on. I only got an asthma checkup cos I completed a form online and the asthma nurse rang me to give me an appointment.
I need to know if I've been referred to the rheumatologist and pain clinic as I requested but I can't get through to check!!!

There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. Still very disappointed about appointment availability..obviously too many people on the books with not enough doctors.., new reception staff again means unhappy staff again , sad to see the old staff gone after being there so long.

All our surgeries have self-check-in screens which are proven to reduce queues and we encourage all our patients to use this if possible.

Impossible to get a doctors appointment

Came for a blood test very quick and efficient, it’s a pity getting a doctors appointment wasn’t the same, been trying to get an appointment for the last 6 months there never is any! How other people get them is a mystery.

I have always been treated with the upmost respect by all of the staff and they have always been very helpful towards any difficult issues I have had. The GP called me back within a half an hour, brilliant service from everyone although to get a routine appointment is always proving difficult. Would definitely recommend the surgery. One thing I need to mention is that my on line records do not appear to be up to date? I’ve recently undergone surgery but there’s no records about this. How do the GPS know how to discuss anything with me regarding ongoing drug prescriptions etc. Difficult.

Thank you for your feedback, we are currently working hard to reduce our 'Do Not Attends,' in October at Kingston Crescent 135 appointments were not attended, this is a total of lost clinician time of 55.3 hours or 2.3 weeks, an average cost of £1,729. If these had been cancelled more appointments would have been available to others.

Got to see a doctor ,and had been trying for 5 days and I was getting worse ,in the end I went to the doctors and complained ,and was sent home to await a phone call only to be told to go back to the doctors again to see the doctor that was there when I first went there ,they think you have nothing else to do but keep going back and forth , and when I saw him he apologised ,and gave me the medication that I needed and because I had to wait 5 days I was really ill the next day ,which could have been avoided if they acted quicker .

No matter what time you ring , held in a que
Often 15 callers in front, people are unable to hold and work as many need to getting with what there being paid for, this is happening to me know as I need an appointment.

Phone answering was poor however after being forced to attend in person as they didnt answer the phone the service went from poor to excellent with resolution within 40mins.
Fix phone lines though because I wasted an hr constantly phoning.either answer or switch them off.
