Kind and understanding

I've only seen a Doctor 3 times in the 2 years I been registered. The doctors are kind and understanding when you eventually meet them, I got bad depression and anxiety so I don't know who can help me with that.

Staff are excellent

Blood test

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I had a blood test. The experience was very pleasant. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only problem I have had in the past is that one is not able to get through on the telephone very easily. Phone is always engaged and this is very frustrating. Normally I have to wait on the phone for at least 20 minutes and then I get an automated response saying that due to high demand I will have to call again. Last experience I had to wait 40 minutes then it cut off. When a patient is sick, and have to wait on the phone for so long, one feels demoralised. I was almost in tears that last time - just waiting on the phone only to be cut off after 40 minutes.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Was made comfortable and at ease

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I visited Kingston as my surgery at Cosham was busy, had not been to Kingston before. Felt rather anxious, was booked to see practise nurse who called me almost as I finished the sign in. She was very welcoming and introduced me to another colleague who was in the room. I had blood pressure done and was made comfortable and at ease. Completely a pleasant experience, as I was having BP done it helped to relax me.

Flu Jab

Walked into surgery, checked in at reception, waited five minutes, doctor administered inoculation, walked out of surgery. The whole evolution took about ten minutes. Excellent!

Non emergency visit re ear.

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

Visit was for hearing problem and was not an emergency. Reception staff were helpful and polite and I didn’t have to wait to see the GP as I was called in at the time of my appointment. The doctor was very kind and helpful and gave me options to help sort out my hearing problem. The consultation did not feel rushed and I left feeling I had been listened to.
