I can never get an appointment when I need one

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I can never get an appointment when I need one. On numerous occasions, the reception staff have been very unhelpful and uncooperative, even rude. I have had problems with prescription requests going missing and was even left for weeks without my antidepressants due to the request going missing and not being considered emergent which led to me having horrendous withdrawal symptoms and many negative impacts on my every day life including work. There have been a few GP's who have been very helpful over the years with numerous issues, however it takes a long time to get anywhere. Results never get fed back and the online system isn't as helpful as it could be.

They do, however, work in what can, at times, be a stressful environment and have to endure unacceptable levels of abuse. Awesome service

I had a painful leaking lump removed from my back - the lump was causing pain and issues with getting dressed and was leaking on clothes. The appointment was on time and took minutes with no pain - I was informed of everything and walked out 10 minutes later pain free - Awesome service.

Great service all round

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I went for my annual flu jab and was dealt with swiftly, efficiently and with the utmost professionalism. The GP even made me aware that I was due a tetanus booster, which was extremely helpful, so that was thrown in for good measure too! Last year I was given a measles jab as well, because apparently I never had one as a child - which was a long, long time ago! It's great that there's no need to book an appointment for the flu jab. Thanks for a great service all round!

It was a "drop in" occasion. I saw the efficient receptionist who asked me a couple of questions. I took a seat .

I went to see my Doctor because I haven’t been able to hear properly and wanted a referral to St Mary’s. The Doctor looked in my ear and it had quite a bit of wax in it. I was told ears were not syringed any more but she has written to St Mary’s for an app to have my ears unblocked and for app to have my hearing checked.

Thorough, efficient and not rushing

I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time. The doctor was thorough, efficient and not rushing. He listened to my questions.
He made a diagnosis and prescribed medication which has cured the problem which has been bothering me for months and a previous doctor had been unable to help a few weeks ago

Has made me seek a new practice

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Since Ports down Group took over my GP Practice the quality of care has diminished and now come to the point where I am actively researching another practice who can facilitate my care.

As a 39 Year old professional I could like to consider myself cognitive and articulate but when ill as with anyone we are vulnerable. I simply do not feel I have safe access to care and provision through the practice which is has over expanded and failed to place sufficient resources into the mix.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.
