This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I have only been able to get an appointment to see a Dr if I use the triage service. This appears to work fine but once told to book a further appointment this system of only being able to book 1 week in advance fails miserably.
There are NEVER any appointments to see a doctor online, the reception staff cannot book an appointment until after 10am for 1 week hence even when I have left the surgery with instruction from the doctor to do so.
I also work with patients and cannot phone at 10am as I am dealing with them. We book their appointments as required at a time that suits them. This surgery doesn't! I also think (like another reviewer) that these restrictions only suit non-workers.

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I recently visited the surgery as I needed some more contraceptive pills. Not long ago you had to see the nurse and you would receive six months supply, not now. I queued for ten minutes to get a form, I then went to the waiting room where you have to use a machine to take your own blood pressure and weight, although there is a low screen people are still watching you and children were fiddling with the equipment before so not sure if they were totally accurate. Then I queued for another ten minutes to hand the form back. There was only one person on reception and the queue was eight people deep. Four days waiting for the prescription and was given a years worth of tablets. I wonder if any checks are being done to make sure I really need contraception any more and whether any other questions should be asked in person. The time taken was 30 minutes in the surgery, longer than previous appointments with the nurse,

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Nearly ten minutes stood waiting at reception. The queue behind me stretching out the main door. No further receptionists were called to help. My appointment was forty minutes later than the time I was given - just to see a pharmacist. While in the waiting room the TV monitor showed a message that read: 'on average calls are answered within two minutes.'. I have had the misfortune of having had to use this surgery for the past twenty-five years. During this time I have NEVER had a call answered in two minutes. In fact my last call (during an off peak time) was answered in twenty-five minutes! When I pointed out that this is not sustainable for people who have to work for a living, the receptionist hung up. Please change this message - it is misleading and untrue.
