Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

The walk in service was excellent

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

The walk in service was excellent. An immediate assessment of my needs was made and I was given the injections. This was after a friendly greeting by the doctor who made me feel very welcome on my first visit to the practice. The receptionist also greeted me warmly and after explaining the process went on to order a repeat prescription to be sent to the pharmacy. It appears to be a well run practice.

Winter Flu Jabs

Wife and self called into the surgery spoke to the receptionist who asked us to take a seat within a few minutes we were called in to the Doctor, Within ten minutes we were on our way home again.
No appointment needed what an excellent service.

One receptionist queue of at least 10 people, took approximately 15 minutes to be served, sorry but not good service especially when we all could her staff laughing and talking in the back office.

I was treated professionally and courteously by the receptionist and the nurse that dealt with my appointment. The nurse called me in a bit ahead of my appointment so I only waited a minute or two. The nurse was helpful and suggested a GP appointment.

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

Getting an appointment. I rang at 8.02 on Friday and it took about 5 attempts to get into the queue. I eventually got onto triage. The Dr said I needed blood tests and could make appointment at the surgery and follow up with a routine visit. OK. So I went to surgery, for flu jab and to arrange blood test. Blood test couldn't be done for two weeks. I took my forms to the clinic at QA. Following this I rang from home for a routine visit -as per instruction. On the phone I went from no 8 to no 1 in the queue and then your phone went silent with no recording ! Time at this point was 32 minutes! I rang again to be told no 10 in queue. I gave up and shortly after 14.00 I went to surgery and got an appointment for Thursday. However having told the receptionist what had happened I got no explanation! The Dr's are OK when you get to them. But to recommend the practice is hard as there is little choice but them in the area.

An appointment was not needed and it was only a short wait for Duty Doctor to call me for 'flu jab.
The next morning I received another reminder on my mobile 'phone to call in for a 'flu jab.

I popped in to organise a yearly blood test (as requested) and found I was due a flu jab which went well and was quickly followed up with a booster tetanus injection. Wow all dealt within 15mins. What a great service.
