For an 8 o'clock appointment it would of been better to get in to the surgery for the time book and not 5 past the hour and wait 20 min for a blood test.

Outstanding service

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

After initially struggling to get through on the phone (which was understandable as I called as soon as the phone lines were open) I spoke to a very efficient and friendly receptionist who advised a Dr would call me back. Within 15 minutes Dr Ozard called and after discussing my symptoms told me to pop in at 08.30, it was so quick I actually arrived 5 minutes late. Nevertheless the gentleman I saw was very good and provided me with a prescription and guidance. Within an hour of my initial call I was seen and on my way. Super impressed and have told everyone who asked me what outstanding service. My thanks to all involved it really made me feel better.

Recent Appointment

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I had suggested that the appointment I was given was for a general consultation as I am now 64 and I thought that it may be time to see a doctor about various ailments. From the time I was called the doctor was panicking about the time allowed for the appointment IE 10 mins and no more (to include the write up). I felt that this was very uncomfortable for us both. Your booking system only offered me one 10 minute appointment with an unknown doctor.

Lovely and competent staff

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

The staff is lovely and competent. The only problem is its a nightmare getting an appointment via the phone. You have to queue like for an hour ( I am not exaggerating) and then the call keeps dropping and you have to start all over again. It is so frustrating.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

I have been attending appointments at Crookhorn surgery ( Portsdown practice) for 20 years. I have always found that I haven’t been kept waiting for appointments and am able to get a appointment for myself and my daughter very quickly. I think over the last few years the running of the surgery has improved dramatically and also my dad attends this surgery too and if wasnt for the quick response from Dr Manning my dad would might not of been here to tell the tale so I have nothing but praise for the doctors and staff who don’t always get a good response from us patients.

The surgery is overun and the docs have no time for patients because of this. The appointment procedure is terrible too. I wanted 2 weeks to see a GP with a few of my concerns and was told that I should "get my list out because we only have 10 minutes". This is a shame because I feel like the doctor's want to help but they are under immense pressure because of the workload. My previous go always had time for me and I got to see the same one every time too.

Dr A Ozzard has always been a friendly nice person you can talk to and a good GP, thats why I always if
possible like to see him, can always talk and relate to him.
One thing can improve between the admin and pharmacy there is a lack of communication eg my wife is out
of ferrous fumarate again, it should be an automatic request pops up to deliver next batch, If I go to the
pharmacy they say the surgery to blame, that does not help us, now my wife has to wait how many days
to receive her medicine, thats only 1 item, it should not be for me to remember and inform the pharmacy of
there role in this, when these probs get sorted I would be glad to recommend the practice.
