Thank you for your feedback, we are currently working hard to reduce our 'Do Not Attends,'in August at Kingston Crescent, 51 appointments were not attended, this is a total of lost clinician time of 46.7 hours or 1.9 weeks, an average cost of £1,255. If these had been cancelled more appointments would have been available to others.

The nurse was fine and did her best for me but her expression of incredulity which was matched by the disgust on the receptionists face when I asked if I could make an appointment to see a doctor reinforced my feelings of complete despair at the current state of the health service.
I honestly believed that struggling to breathe, experiencing chest pains and having worryingly high blood pressure over a long period of time would have been sufficient to warrant at least a future appointment being made available for me to see a doctor. How wrong I was.

We are constantly reviewing the service which we deliver and will be launching a new Model of Care in the Autumn. This has been designed to provide an increased availability and length (15 minutes) of routine appointments.

Flu Injection and query about asthma review

5 out of 5 stars

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

workingfeedback logo
Visited the surgery promptly after receiving a text message that flu vaccinations were available on a drop in basis at any time in surgery open hours. There was a wait of approximately 10 minutes, but was then seen by a Doctor and given the injection. Whilst at the surgery I queried my online asthma review with the receptionist and my query was resolved very promptly and politely. I always find the staff and doctors very friendly at Crookhorn surgery, and if I have to wait, I look through the books in the surgery that are available for a donation to the practice so the wait doesn't seem long.

Treated me with utmost respect

4 out of 5 stars

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

workingfeedback logo
I am satisfied with the level of service that I have received from this practice so far. The nursing staff and Doctors that I have seen have all treated me with utmost respect and professionalism. Waiting times have not been too bad and I've been seen fairly quickly each time from the scheduled time of my appointment. I did have a problem recently trying to get an emergency appointment on a Monday, whereby I waited in the queue only for the phone to keep ringing and then only to get a cut-off dial tone. Other than this, I found that I could get an appointment on the day, fairly easily. I like the idea of the touch screen sign-in system to let staff know you are there for your appointment. Also, having access to your recent test results online is also useful. So far, so good and I will continue to attend this practice as it is very local and convenient and I am happy with their current quality of service.

Blood test

5 out of 5 stars

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

workingfeedback logo
Usually it is difficult to get blood out of me ,but the nurse who took the blood did it first time without any fuss.
It is frustrating when you are waiting on the phone (which I understand) only to get down to number one only to be cut off. This has happened to me and my members of my family more times than I can remember, as a consequence we have had to visit the surgery to get a service. The doctors and nurses are great but the main problem is getting past the reception/phones to get the appropriate service.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

I had to have an emergency appointment on a Monday due to bleeding over the weekend period. This I was given and am pleased to say all went smoothly, except for being cut off tree times when I mention over the phone that it was a emergency. However, I did get through and then received a phone call from the doctor. Well done. I don't use the NHS much and was impressed by the quick response.

I cannot fault anything

I phoned for an appointment on the morning of the same day and was offered a triage appointment that morning. I was received by Paramedic Andrew Taylor whose approach to my treatment was very professional and thorough and who decided I should go to QA ED for further examination and prepared an account of the exam accompanied by a heart trace and then requested an ambulance to collect me from surgery. I cannot fault anything in the treatment I received from Mr Taylor.

I only got an appointment as I had been told a Dr would ring me between 3 p.m. and 6 P.m.. this did not happen so I rang the following day to ask why and was told someone had tried to ring me but my line was engaged.. this was not true. I checked my phone for calls and the only other call I had that day was from the surgery telling me that the time the Dr would call. I was upset that I wasn’t believed and I did get a call back the next morning and an appointment that day.something must have gone wrong with your system.

When ever my wife and I have had to visit Crookhorn Surgery we have always had first class care from staff and doctors. If it hadn't been for the doctors at Crookhorn being on top form I would have died with Cancer, but they acted quick and I was in for an operation and it turned out OK so for myself and my family we would not like to go anywhere else. Thanks for a very caring service.

I find telephone consultations a good alternative to discuss any minor problem that I have. I know I am speaking to a doctor and will be dealt with quickly and then advised if I need to come in the surgery. This releases more surgery appointments times for those with more serious problems which is what it should be.
The time it takes for someone to answer the phone for a general enquiry seems to be getting worse, It has been between 30-45 minutes on the last 2 occasions. Other patients from the surgery that I know, have said they have waited even longer. (When you are number 30 in the queue you do not want to ring off and lose your place in the queue). What do you consider a reasonable time to wait for a call to be answered?
Waiting times for actual appointment in the surgery seems to be increasing.
On the positive side the staff who do eventually answer the phone they are always very polite and helpful in resolving my enquiry.

I attended to pick up my blood results as the Dr who was supposed to call me hadn’t and I needed them for a consultation call from the hospital. The receptionist was extremely helpful and pleasant, she printed the results but unfortunately like myself couldn’t read the results so I had to go to the pharmacist for assistance.
