I find it harder to get an urgent appointment this time with the new system because the line is always busy. Waited for about 1 hour before I can get urgent appointment and it's not good experience when you're in pain.

Managed to book an appointment on line with a GP of my choice and only had to wait a few days to be seen. The GP was approachable and helpful and listened to my concerns. A plan of action was decided between us which I was happy with.

When got through cut off tried for 28mims finally got through

I think it is disgusting that when in the surgery you cannot make an appointment and have go home and phone ,to return to the surgery 25 minutes later for a emergency appointment

Blood test

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I had a follow up blood test on 05/08/2019 as the previous one showed that I was borderline diabetic. AS at 15/08/2019 I had no response to that blood test which would presumably mean there was nothing wrong based on previous advice. However on calling in to the surgery I was told that a doctor had said that the blood test showed that I was low on something which meant that I needed medication. However nothing had been done about it. A prescription had not been issued and I had not been contacted. I was told that I could pick up the prescription from the pharmacy in a day or two but I have not been told why I need that medication or what it does. Not impressed

I am not happy with communication from the surgery. Some sort of communication telling me I was due for a medication / hypertension review, with details of when such clinics are held. Being put on the surgery's list as someone expected to make an appointment when I registered, but not being informed of this, even though you seem to have my e-mail address.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand.at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Friendly, kind and understanding

IPF condition appointment

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

My treatment was very good, the Doctor excellent. What lets the whole surgery down is
a) The triage system (25min wait for someone to answer telephone). Crookhorn patients appear to disadvantaged by having to go through the Cosham Surgery telephone system, once past this hurdle/barrier Crookhorn deals with and responds quickly to need for appointments.
b) The difficulties around getting appointments (not on this occasion).
c) Length of time it takes for someone to answer the phone up to 25mins on most days.
d) Doctors generally good and helpful.
