Very good service, had text to invite me to have 2 injections. Just went to surgery, waited about ten minutes for doctor. Was explained very clearly what the injections was for. Left very pleased with the service and professionalism.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand.at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Lisa Weller gave us exceptional service when we went to get our jabs for our upcoming honeymoon. She gave us excellent travel advice for the places we are going to be visiting and put me at ease when receiving the injections. We can’t thank her enough for passing on her knowledge to us to keep us as safe as possible.

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I was summoned to the surgery today by a text message which required me to pick up booking instructions for a clinic. This turned out to a simple letter telling me how to make an appointment with the clinic. If only someone had invented something like a postal service perhaps this letter could have been sent to me. Instead I have to attend the surgery to receive it by hand. Is this another example of cost-cutting? The details could, of course, have been sent by text or email. I'm baffled.
Also, as regards contacting the surgery, I note on the right of this page a box for Somerstown Surgery Contact Details which says 'Give them a call on the number below'. Not so very helpful as the next line, which should contain the number, simply says: 'No phone number on file'. Are you deliberately trying to annoy people? I consider this a very poor attempt at communication.

Thank you for your feedback. As part of our environmental policy, we are reducing our carbon footprint, including asking patients to collect letters, rather than posting them. We are constantly looking at ways we can maintain up to date records so that going forward we can email and text message, where appropriate, whilst still ensuring that we maintain patient confidentiality.

The waiting room was busy but quiet. Receptionists were constantly attending to patients and all the other jobs they need to do, but were still able to pass a friendly word.
