Friendly efficient service

I attended the surgery for a free health check and was somewhat surprised that this was with a nurse practitioner rather than a GP. However she was friendly and efficient, without being rushed.

It was okay this time, but I have been going deaf in both ears since May, but cannot get in again to see anyone. My hearing has deteriorated since May 2019, but I can't get another appointment. How is being hard of hearing at 59 years of age natural? This has been going on WAY too long, who else would go 3 months of losing their hearing without being referred to the correct hospital person? Would you treat the Queen like that? LOL! Of course you wouldn't.

Bone injection with nurse

Nurse very good but shes the only person I see, I dont think there are any doctors there anymore, I am terminal and not seen one for at least 18 months.

All of our Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners are fully clinically trained and supported by an on-site duty doctor if they need any assistance whatsoever.

Very helpful and respectful

This is a review for Heyward Road Surgery & Practice

I am very happy with the service and care I received and my children have also received at this practice. All the staff I dealt with were pleasant and professional. I felt as though the doctor I saw listened to me and was very helpful and respectful. It can take a little while getting routine appointments if you want to wait for a particular doctor, but this is fine with me. There has never been any problem getting emergency appointments on the occasional times they have been needed.

Difficulty in getting a doctor’s appointment: I find it very frustrating trying to get a doctor’s appointments and the reception ladies trying to decipher who to and who not to see the doctor. Most annoying is the ladies asking patients what the matter is. Are they doctors and why should I be sharing or disclosing my health issues with someone that is not a health professional? I find that intrusive.

They do, however, work in what can, at times, be a stressful environment and have to endure unacceptable levels of abuse. Swift reaction, advice and reassurance

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I had skin cancer on my shin last year, which was surgically removed at Q.A.H. Recently I have been aware of a few more red patches and small lesions in that area and wondered whether I should ask to see a doctor or whether I would be wasting their time. When attending my appointment for blood test I asked the nurse if there was a practice nurse I could see to give me advice. She said there wasn’t but asked what the problem was. On looking at my leg she advised I did need to see a doctor, to go to reception and get an appointment. This I did and later that day received an appointment for that afternoon.
Saw the doctor and was reassured that all is well.
Just want to say thank you to all for the swift reaction, advice and reassurance it has given me.
