So helpful and understanding

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I had been prescribed Ramipril by QA hospital for blood pressure after suffering a heart attack in April and had been taking this tablet, I developed a dry cough so after reading the leaflet I thought it best to get it check, the doctor was so helpful and understanding, tablet has been changed and cough has now gone, doctor also answered my question with regards to the artery that had caused the problem and I was very grateful for his explanation.

So hard to get a appointment and you have to ring at 8am as appointments are taken so quick and then it is a 2 week wait or longer.

Visit for blood test

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

A PSA Blood test was booked following a visit to the Crookhorn Surgery. On the selected date and time the test was carried out by the Practice Nurse who I had never met before. She immediately put me at my ease and carried out the test without fuss.

Amazing service

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I have been a Kingston Crescent patient since around 2001, I have never had a bad experience. On Thursday 25/08/19 I tried calling numerous times without being able to get through. I tried the online service for the first time it did take a while to fill in all requirements but within a few hrs a GP was ringing my mobile. Amazing, then I had a face to face at 17:10 that evening. Again amazing. It was for a changed mole. A referral was made, by Monday 29/07/19 an appointment at Dermatology was made for me on 12/08/19. Amazing service. Thank you so much to all staff at Kingston Crescent Surgery.

Getting through via phone

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

The amount of time I had to wait on the phone to get an emergency appointment was ridiculous especially as i had to ring from work. Over 13mins after ringing from 8am and got through after 3pm. I called in at 5.30 and asked for one to be told they were finished for the day.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand.at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

All depends on which receptionist you talk to and which Doctor you see. Some receptionists have an attitude when you speak to them and don't listen to you. Some Doctors can be just as patronising and not listen to you, when as a patient we know our bodies best.
