I was seen promptly and the consultation was very well conducted. It has however become very difficult to get any routine appointment with either a GP or a nurse without hanging on the phone for long periods to get to speak to a human being and then either being told to phone back at another time or else being offered something, if lucky, at some time away.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand.at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

I went for my recent injection. The nurse was lovely; so friendly and reassuring. She had remembered me from a previous appointment 3 months earlier. She also asked how my daughter was, who had come with me the time before. She is such a lovely lady and deserves a gold star.

The time given for me to attend the surgery was 9:20am, I was 1 of 3 people waiting at that time. To my knowledge no one had been in to see the GP at this stage therefore, at the start of the day the GP was running at least 20 minutes behind. I eventually got to see the GP at approx 9:50am.
Although, the GP listened, was empathetic and provided alternative medication I felt rushed and to a certain extent felt some of the issues brushed aside.

Generally speaking, the staff are helpful. Once or twice they have been a bit abrupt with other people for no apparent reason, but I realise that some patients can be rude and pushy so maybe that can be expected sometimes...

The nurse that saw me was lovely, friendly, approachable and efficient. Sadly however that isn't the case with a lot of the reception staff, who either don't know how to smile or be friendly, they are not approachable, they seem to think they should know what is wrong with you which can be embarrassing, and are just hard work to get past. The Surgery itself is so hard to get an appointment with and when you do get one you don't get the time to explain things. I have been told before on an appointment 'I can only deal with one thing today as we don't have time, you'll have to come back'. It is not good enough I'm sorry to say.

Thank you for providing us with feedback. We are pleased that your experience with one of our nursing team was a positive one. We are sorry that you have issues with a lot of our reception staff. We invest considerable time and effort in training our staff, and we will certainly feed back your comments to our Surgery Team Leaders. Regarding the availability of appointments, we are, in common with many other GP surgeries, struggling with the level of demand from patients. We are, however, working hard on this, and will be introducing a new Model of Care in the Autumn which is planned to make a considerable difference.

The present guidelines regarding time limits for appointments (common throughout the NHS), places undue stress on Staff, particularly when short staffed. However the Staff at this practice do their best despite current restraints.

My review does it seem to be on here so here it is again. After a trip to A & E I attended a doctors appointment ( after trying and trying for a week to get one!) to try and fix the on going issue. I felt the doctor I saw spoke over me, didn’t listen to what o had to say, like I was wasting his time. He referred me for a test which I was pleased about as I hoped this would get to the bottom of the issue. This came back normal I was then told no further action. So I still have the issue I went to the doctor with in the first place and have to attempt to try and get another appointment ( tried this evening before 7 and one appointment came up and then an error came up, I guess I’ll try again tomorrow). I’ve been to this practice for years and had amazing maternity care and nurses for babies injections but since my last appointment I’m considering leaving this surgery.

While I was charged to have my documents approved and signed by a doctor in order to confirm that I am apt to register as a nurse with NMC, the doctor declared that he does not know me.
Ok, I understand I haven't see this doctor in my life, but if I paid for this, then why I was not appointed to be seen by this doctor and take the necessary action in order to say that I am competent or not to register as a nurse.
By this surgery logic, in order to be taken in evidence, I have to be sick.
Meanwhile I had another appointment, this time to certify my renewal for my lorry driving licence (for which I paid £160) but had been seen by a different doctor. Why couldn't the latter certify my first row of documents as well?
Discusting!

The doctor was absolutely super but making the appointment was a nightmare. Unable to make telephone appointment so had to go to surgery to provide Id to go online. Enquiry line no help. Once there experience ok apart from receptionists more interested in private conversations than patients.
