Urgent appointment

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Thought I had a recurrence of shingles. Phoned Fri after lunch. Dr phoned back. I had commitments the latter part of day which It was impossible to change but was able to see Dr at a time that was ok with me at a different surgery in the practice. A longer journey but happy that the surgery was flexible.

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

After trying for a week to get an appointment, I visited the doctor after a trip to A&E, I felt like the Dr who saw me spoke over me when I was trying to explain my issue, he didn’t really listen. He ordered tests which came back fine and he advised no further action, yet I am still with the issue that took me to A&E. Now I have to attempt to get another appointment.

Great service

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I went for my smear, and the nurse made me feel comfortable and at ease. She also picked up that I needed a booster of the MMR, and a tetanus. She also went on to arrange my first mammogram. She gave me an excellent service. Reminded me of how the NHS used to be.

Diabetic Nurse and Blood Test

Difficult to get through in the mornings so I usually make the call pm. Straight through and got my nurse appointment in 24 hrs. Always friendly and explain everything you need to know.

I visited surgery in response to annual diabetes review, the appointment was kept on time and the specialist nurse gave a professional, informative thorough insight into my needs. As a result of the decisions and advice given a follow up appointment was made and attended at which future options were put in place. Drs are great when you get to see them but your telephone system is shocking. I waited 1hr 25mins in the same day appointment queue today to then be disconnected when I sat waiting as no1 in the queue for 15muns. Absolutely shocking and I will be putting in a complaint!

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand.at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

It was my first appointment and I had a couple of things to discuss. As with all surgeries the GP was running late.. I felt rushed when he said he was running late but had spent a long time on the 2 previous patients meaning my appointment was 40 minutes late.

Prescription for syringe driver medication

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Having left hospital just a few days before, I needed my IV medication for my syringe driver to be ready for going on a much needed few days away. this was on the Monday, the superb receptionist said she would request the meds and to pick prescription pm which I did. Superb service.
What a pity in January I was told by the diabetic nurse to make an app. ASAP with gp and 5/52 later I had a telephone consultation only because my wife took the phone from me and explained my difficulty in eating. Had an app. that afternoon, within 2/52 found out I had terminal oesophageal cancer.
