Making the appointment was easy enough although there was a 3 week wait. The nurse was friendly, welcoming, extremely thorough and patient. Explained everything well, making sure every member of the family understood what she was saying.

Very difficult to get an appointment for less urgent issues, Very long wait to speak to the reception bearing in mind we the patient are paying for the telephone charges, sometimes waiting for ten to fifteen minutes for an answer only to be told somebody will call you back. When my old surgery was closed we were told we would a better service in my view its far from that.
If you ring in the morning you can be asked to ring back at two PM only to be told there are no appoints left for that day. Its almost impossible to get an appointment at my local surgery without many days wait.

It is well publicised that access and appointments for Primary Care is going through exceptionally difficult times. We are constantly monitoring, our staff levels and limited resources, to offer the maximum number of appointments that we can. We would also suggest that you register for on-line and we also offer eConsult via our website where you can request advise and treatment from our doctors.

Emergency appointment

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I was given an appointment on the day I called, for an eye condition that had worsened during the previous 2 weeks when I had been unable to visit the surgery. Only 5 minutes waiting time.
A diagnosis was quickly made and the prescription sent directly to the pharmacy where I picked it up.

Appointment

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

It is extremely difficult to get an appointment. The booking system is extremely unhelpful. When the doctor tells you to come back in a month you should be able to make the appointment then and there. The telephone manner of those who answer the phone varies greatly. Some are great but others are brusque, unhelpful and just seem to want you to get off the phone. The whole process is very stressful.

The health care we received was efficient and professional. The nurse went out of her way to carry out two other procedures that were requested by the doctor. This prevented another visit to the surgery which we very much appreciated. The care that we receive from Crookhorn Surgery is always excellent.

I came in, logged myself in, Its easy and quick, I was greeted by Dr Mannings, great Dr, he went through my notes and there was a letter missing from Royal Marsden. I explained the reason I came, he checked me over arranged for blood test and asked Fran who was very lovely to chase the letter. I like the Dr surgery, I dont like having different Dr, I want to see one Dr who knows me.

Very happy with this surgery

I have no problems here, the front staff, nurses and doctors are kind and helpful, the reception staff in particular have gone the extra mile to help me out with prescription. The latest appointment system works well, speaking to a doctor when you phone, for triage, is a great improvement.
