Popped into the surgery early Monday morning to make an appointment, Doctor rang me within 20 minutes of leaving and he saw me within 2 hours.

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Very difficult to get an emergency appointment. The phone lines can't cope with the amount of patients from all the merged surgeries, did not appreciate keep getting cut off very time I tried for 2 hours. When I eventually got through all the morning appointments had gone, tried again in the afternoon only to be cut off again. Eventually I had to drive to the surgery to ask for the doctor to call me to get an appt as my asthma was bad and I needed to be seen ASAP. Very disappointing service and poor care.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Thank you for your feedback, we are currently working hard to reduce our 'Do Not Attends,' in October at Kingston Crescent 135 appointments were not attended, this is a total of lost clinician time of 55.3 hours or 2.3 weeks, an average cost of £1,729. If these had been cancelled more appointments would have been available to others.

New prescription system is shocking, had an appointment at 10:15 which I then needed antibiotics but was messed around an didn't get this until 6pm that evening. Not good when your in real pain and very poorly.

Thank you for your feedback. Due to the high demand for GP services, we have implemented a strict list of urgent medications that due to the nature must be supplied within 24 hours, this has meant regrettably, that all other prescriptions are now requiring 72 hours to turnaround.
