Receptionist very helpful when explaining the reason why 1 item on my husbands prescription was missing and resolved this issue. I was also given an MMR injection reminder which was done by DR Mannings within 10 mins!! Excellent service!

Un-nessasary review

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I take Co-Codamol (long term) for long term lower back pain and nerve damage. In general I have to problem with this surgery and the Doctors are very good but twice in the past year these tablets have had a stop put on them until I see a Doctor which in itself is not a problem. However my Prescription review was not due until December 2019 and I only found out when I tried to re-order on-line The surgery have my home phone number (we also have an answer machine) and my email address but I was not contacted. I think unless you register a mobile number they do not try contact but I hardly use my mobile and it is not on 24/7 so would be impractical to give it to the surgery. I cannot fault my treatment when I see a doctor.

There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Same day appointment

I was seen promptly and dealt with efficiently. I rarely attend the surgery and was very happy to get a same day appointment! Adam gave me clear instructions but unfortunately had to go in search of a plaster!

I was very satisfied when I saw Dr Kyd as she saw me the same day as it was urgent I see a Dr but I won't see any other Dr except Dr Kyd as she really listens to why I have gone to see her and arranges for any referrals that I need.

Results of Blood tests and discuss recent BP pill change.

Dr Ozard who saw was very good and patient, he listened to my concerns and corrected some info on my records that was slightly incorrect regarding my heart valve replacement. He advised me to contact Hospital to get in corrected too. My experience with all doctors at this practice has always been good. I think more info and a means of asking questions on the App (Systenonline) would be of advantage to all and save a lot of doctors time too. I make my appointments by this App to because unless you don’t work an can spend the day on the phone it’s almost impossible to get one.

Useless phone system

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I have just joined this surgery and so far have been unable to make an appointment over the phone. The phone system gives me 3 options, 1. Urgent appointment. 2. Non urgent appointment. 3. General enquiries. I tried the first two several times only for the phone system to cut me off. I then tried option 3, managed to actually speak to someone and was then told they couldn’t book an appointment for me as I'd come through to the wrong line. I explained that I kept getting cut off from the other lines but was still told they couldn't book an appointment. So I tried again and managed to actually get into the queing system! I was st position 10. It was progress made at least. After a min on hold the phone system then cut me off again. So it seems impossible to make an appointment over the phone. This all happened on Mon 21st Jan and I’ve just tried again on Thursday 24th and still the same. Not sure how you can run a surgery like this. I look forward to your response.

This is not my GP surgery I was visiting for other reasons. Due to this I can not review appointment booking or the GP service. The receptionists were efficient however could be more friendly and welcoming. Nice spacious, clean, waiting room and the others working there I spotted seemed nice.

Tried several times to book an appointment via telephone. The rules keep changing. To permit only one day, for a practice of several thousand patients, is appalling. How does this help the patient. It can only benefit the practice.
Dreadful system.
