Discrimination and judgement practice

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I've never written a poor review of Portsdown group practice before as they have been very good at getting me the treatment I need. That's until I asked for something that didn't agree with a doctor's narrative. It was then within my notes that I'm basically just a junkie, when I asked for advocacy around this my notes were updated to include that apparently I'm an ongoing junkie. I have a history, that's where it stays. Not according to my notes now though, apparently I'm still at it. This is just untrue and will affect my travel insurance. You need to do better, not everybody with a history of drug use is trying to obtain drugs to, as you call it, misuse.
Putting barriers in the way prevents me from getting physically healthy. Why are some doctors, nurses admin staff so ignorant? Try asking me where I am and how I am. I will openly discuss everything, don't say one thing to my face then record judgemental remarks in my notes. I read them. You need to do better. I'm actually disgusted by it

My review with regard to care received.

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

For the last 10 months I have been receiving care for a wound on my shin which ulcerated. The care assistants were excellent- funny, gentle and sympathetic whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism -in spite of my grumbling at having to keep my leg under compression for so long and I would like to thank them all, care assistants, nurses and, lastly, the receptionists for their help and patience.

Surgery ok

I believe at the end of the day the doctors do not know us as individual patients; they used to use the telephone to talk to us but now we are an email address. It seems as patients we are doing all the running around. I could say more but what's the point.

Mistaken appointment

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Unfortunately I did not know how to book an appointment via Anima so had used my AirMid/NHS link. I thought I could book a Physio appointment this way, apparently not as supposed to be GP referral but that chouce is offered on Airmid, nor Anima when I was finally told about this new way to book. Anima has limited access hours, plus needed to register & get verified first. Meanwhile still in pain, awaiting response 4 days later from surgery, with still no dropdown to select a GP appointment. All very discouraging, good thing I don't give up easily, especially with IT too.

There is no need to register for Anima, please give us a call/visit the surgery if you need guidance on how to use Anima. You can no longer book GP appointments in any other way than Anima.

Chest infection

I had a very bad chest infection and I thought I needed some antibiotics because I’ve got emphysema but he never thought it was bad enough. The next day I tested positive with COVID. Three weeks later still got a really bad chest and cough.
