Accommodates Sensory Needs

This is a review for Sloan Dental Merchant City

Great dentist, all the staff were so lovely. I asked for the lights to be dimmed in the room as I am experiencing a lot of sensory issues with light at the moment which are causing bad migraines. They kept all the lights off that they could and gave me darker glasses than I usually get at the dentist.

I have never asked for a sensory accommodation in a medical setting before. I was nervous about the reaction but they couldn’t have been better about it. When you have a disability with a lot of stigma and misunderstanding surrounding it, you don’t know how people will react (yes, even doctors etc). Thank you for being inclusive of neurodiverse people :)
