Watra Care

I am still trying to adjust to M not being here, she has been the first priority for me since my Father passed away over 20 years ago, more so over the last 5 years obviously but in a different way.
I'm grieving the Mum I lost before the illness now as well as the awful way she had to live and what hell she suffered day in day out.
Comfort does come however from the knowledge that she was loved and cared for so wonderfully by her Watra angels.
Thank you Tenveer for your patience and understanding and for your unquestioning support of me during such a difficult period - I am genuinely so grateful to you.

Thank you all at Watra for how you looked after 'C'. We have enjoyed the variety of carers who have come to us over the last couple of years, and appreciate how, over time, we settled into a regular team.
Your carers were all kind and compassionate - that was the most important thing. You brought new energy into our home when hope was waning. I appreciated how delicately all of you worked around me at home without being intrusive. I think every one of you went out of your way to make life better for us. I don't know how I would have coped for the last few years. Your help meant I could spend more time with 'C' being her partner and not her carer, and helped share the enormous responsibility of looking after her at the end of her life.

We as a family would like to say a massive thank you for the wonderful care you all gave in his final weeks of life. The whole team were very caring and kind (especially M, who went the extra mile - she even came to his funeral which meant a great deal to us!). All the staff were lovely & we can't thank you enough.

2 weeks of live-in care following a discharge from the hospital for my Mum. They were excellent. Very caring and kind - made it really easy to live in the small flat with Mum. Very capable and confident - proactively giving care and attention, and making sure that Mum (who is very independent) didn't have to do more than she should, and that she was comfortable at all times. By the end of the 2 weeks, Mum was able to live independently again, which was excellent.

Francine was excellent. Very caring, gentle and understanding. Very competent, experienced and skilled. Easy to have living in a small house. And “on it” in a very positive hands-on way.

Excellent service during our ten days in Bournville. All staff were efficient, prompt and friendly. An excellent service to be recommended.

My mother needed home care due to old age we has used a couple of care companies and eventually found Watra Care.
I have to say the carers were excellent very professional and my mother looked forward to their visits 4 times a day.
Unfortunately my mother suffered a stroke and had to be moved into a nursing home full time, so Watra Care were no longer required.
I only wish that we had found Watra Care before, and can only sing my praises of them, and will not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

Watra Care provided a highly professional care package for my father over a period of three months following his discharge from Hospital.
Having suffered a stroke he had severe mobility impairments and all personal care activities initially had to be performed by two carers, downstairs away from the bath and shower facilities.
Watra Care responded very quickly to my father's changing care requirements as his recovery progressed. Reassessments of his care plan were performed on either the same day or the next day which helped to ensure rapid progression through the various goals he was being set by his therapy team.
The vast majority of carers were exceptionally kind and delivered a very good service to my father. In particular, we would like to thank Megan, who formed a particularly good rapport with my father as the most frequent carer to attend to him in the latter stages of his care requirement.

As a Rehabilitation case manager I strive to ensure my clients receive the highest quality, personalised care. Tenveer, the Care Manager has fully embraced the requirements of my client and has provided staff who are willing to work as part of a wider team. Staff are respectful of my clients individual beliefs and values. Tan is an absolute advocate for her clients and her own values and passion for care are reflected in the staff that she has introduced to my client. It is important that my client feels able to express their opinions in order to shape their own package of support. Tan has facilitated and encouraged the client to remain at the centre of their care

Watra Care provided my Mother with excellent care over a number of years. Neither my Mother or her family had any issues with the care that Watra and their superb staff provided during the whole time that they looked after her.

One particular carer, Mary Lewis, became a firm favourite with all of us. Her knowledge, understanding and level of professionalism exceeded all our expectations.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Watra to anybody in need of care for an elderly relative.

We are really pleased with the help and support my mother receives from Watra Care. My mother wants to remain as independant as possible within her own home but due to restricted mobility and other health problems over the last 2 years needs increasing support to do so.

Watra have listened and responded sensitively and thoughtfully throughout this time, seeking updates when my mother has been in hospital, and through regular care planning meetings, respecting my mother's views but also ensuring a safe and appropriate level of care in partnership with my mother and family.

We have had great consistency of carers, there have been no missed care visits, punctuality is good and when we have been present during a care visit we can see that the carers are genuinely caring, attentive and responsive but also support my Mother's independence where it is safe to do so. Any issues of concern or change in care plans needed have been responded to very quickly.

Carers have made suggestions for changes that might make life easier or more comfortable for mum. Most importantly my mother likes all of her carers - she says she can't fault any of them.

We have experienced other care companies and none of them compare with Watra. Every single Watra carer has been kind, efficient, thorough and gone the extra mile to ensure that my Mother is safe, secure and healthy. They ensure that I can take a break from caring for her without having to continually worry about her wellbeing.
