The level of care my friend received from SD Care Agency was consistently high. It was reliably professional and at the same time friendly and sensitive. We particularly noticed the willingness of some staff to enter into the spirit of a special occasion or a trip out, to encourage my friend to dress up and make the most of her day. The lovely spontaneous Coronation Day photograph was a notable example! We also appreciated the ready involvement of management staff when new equipment was being considered or when there was any sort of difficulty (delay caused by traffic problems, urgent arrangements for hospitalisation). The carers knew they were well supported and that gave them and us confidence. There were inevitably moments of poor communication due partly to linguistic problems and partly to hearing loss but in general, the relationships formed between my friend and her carers was very positive, leaving behind feelings of genuine affection and mutual concern and so we are very happy to recommend SD Agency to anyone looking for home care.

V is a very caring carer, who is always out to please the one she is caring for. She is courteous, honest and brings a smile. She checks the medications carefully to make sure that what is given is correct. When running late one day, she texted my wife to let her know she would be coming shortly. The care they provide to people are really high quality, and extremely heart warming to witness. The level of care provided has been absolutely excellent. All of the ladies who help look after my brother John are caring and conscientious and are genuinely concerned for his welfare. Communication is excellent and we are always kept up to date with any issues and his carers are happy to take the initiative to sort any problems. The staff managed to deal with two very insular people that did not want interference from ‘outside’. They gave the very best care they could to my Mum, whose care needs were far in excess of the time SD Care had available to them. When everything went ‘wrong’ from our side the agency stepped in and went above and beyond what was required. Two very notable members of staff are Laura and ALEAH. I cannot be thankful enough to these Ladies. Mum is now in a Nursing home but I would have SD Care back Tomorrow.
