Live In Care For My Dad
I am extremely satisfied with the services of Bluebird. My father has been having live-in care since February 2016. He has a very competent and committed cadre of carers.
They are patient, kind, and highly responsible. In May-June 2017, my father was hospitalised twice for an infection. Each time a Bluebird carer was with him. The manager of live-in care, Cari, was brilliant and she kept us informed and updated on my father's condition.
There is a robust monitoring and evaluating system in place which provides a regular review of the carers and my father's needs/requests.
I am very pleased with the level of care and would highly recommend Bluebird to friends and family. It is reassuring to know that he is in good hands and is being well looked after!

Care For Mum
I had no experience of employing Carers and no one to help me. Having seen all the reports in newspapers of bad care I took the decision to employ them with great reluctance.
Bluebird have been amazing and restored my faith in the care industry. From the management to the Carers, they are all friendly helpful and genuinely seem to care about my Mother. In particular, Mums main Carer Sarah has taken time to develop a good relationship with her so from initially being hostile towards her Mum now views her as a friend to help her rather than an unwanted intrusion into her life.
When things go wrong Bluebird do everything to help and support us and provide extra care even though they have limited numbers of Carers. When I have needed to talk to management out of hours they are always friendly and helpful.
Without Bluebird Mum would probably be in a care home by now. Thankfully they have supported her and enabled her to continue to live independently at home where she wants to be.

Bluebird Care have been very accommodating and flexible to the changing needs of my elderly aunt.
All Bluebird carers are well trained and have a professional yet personal approach . I would recommend Bluebird to anyone who is seeking support for an elderly relative or friend - be it to help with respite care following perhaps a hospital stay or equally for more longer term support enabling the elderly to stay in their own home rather than in residential care.

Care For Mum
Although I live reasonably close to my mother I work part-time and have two teenage children. As my mother's illness progresses (Parkinson's) we are relying more and more on Bluebird to provide the daily care and social interaction that the family cannot offer regularly.
The carers from Bluebird are, without exception, kind, thoughtful and professional. My mother was initially resistant to the idea of having carers, now she really looks forward to their visits.
For myself and my brothers and sister, we are finally able to relax knowing that our mother is being well looked after. I have frequent interaction with the Bluebird office staff as well and they are always understanding, patient and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them.

Care For Mum
Whilst away I rang my husband every evening to check how things were going and he was always very positive about Mum. Your carers were always successful when getting her up and she really seemed to enjoy interacting with them, especially when they took the time to look at her photos and chat about the past. She didn't even ask my husband where I was!!

Caring company
We have used Bluebird for about 3 years and have on the whole been very pleased with the service provided. We have live in carers with day sit in care on occasions for our now 100 year old Mum. The carers, most have been excellent and some outstanding, very professional, kind and caring. The company try to keep the same carers so relationships form, this has occasionally not happened when different carers have been used to fill in but this does happen often. Whenever we have broached anything, the office staff and management have been supportive and helpful. Confident, good quality staff for most of our experience.

Wonderful Care For Mum
When my 93-year-old Mum first fell at home, Bluebird got someone in place for 24-hour care literally within hours, and my Mum loved the carer who looked after her, washed her and cooked.
Later, Mum needed less care and a carer came in for 6hrs every day. This was quite a challenge, as Mum was extremely difficult and suspicious, and tended to throw carers out after a few days. But through it all, Bluebird management patiently went on trying to find someone Mum liked, until they succeeded.
They were very professional, and also very warm and caring through it all. 90% of the carers were marvelous, and both they and Debbie Moulton gave me support as well, as though they were family. I couldn't have managed without them, and will be grateful forever for their knowledge, understanding, and skill in handling impossible situations.

We need different sorts of care sometimes at short notice and Bluebird have always been flexible and accommodating. The carers are diplomatic with my father and compassionate to my mother. It's a relief to have them.

Care For Mum
Overall we are very happy with Bluebird Services - my mother aged 95 and living on her own really values the 3 times a day visits from them as she still lives on her own - our only questionmark is is my mother being fed well?
There is always plenty of food in the kitchen and I believe that often the easy option is taken - my mother probably says cheese and biscuits but she should eat something more substantial I think if it is available which it usually is - we realise that carers are not gourmet chefs but I think this should be addressed - thank you.

Thank you for your feedback. We've reviewed the care notes and they seem to suggest that mum is eating well - soup, lasagne, macaroni cheese, beef, veg, fresh fruit and yoghurt, in addition to cheese and biscuits, all in the last few days. It could be that she's eating a big lunch and perhaps only fancies a light snack in the evening? If you'd like to change her meal plan such that we're encouraging her to eat little but often instead, we'd be happy to arrange this. Incidentally, we will shortly be launching a new app - openPASS - which makes the care notes recorded by our care workers using the PASSsystem - our new electronic care plan management system - available to our customers and their families in real time via their mobile phone or tablet, so you will be able to see exactly what mum is eating every day. As soon as this is available to you, we will let you know.
