Magnet Insurance Services

The only problem was in the description of my house. There are only categories for brick or timber construction. Mine is brick on the ground floor and wooden weatherboard on 2 sides on the first floor. I had to select the wooden construction option as the house is not entirely brick and I didn't want to risk being under insured.

Buildings and contents insurance

I have used Magnet for several years now for buildings and contents insurance. the premiums are normally very competitive and in my opinion value for money. I cannot comment on their willingness to settle a claim as fortunately I have not been in a position where I needed to go down that route. I would hope their claims payments would be every bit as good as their general efficiency.

The best value by a long way

This is the second year I've used Magnet for my house insurance. Both times they have provided a quote that's tens of pounds cheaper than other companies. This year, I didn't reply to an initial reminder to renew via email. I had a second, very polite and un-pushy reminder which prompted me to shop around - they were still the best value by a long way.

Building insurance

We chose Magnet as one of the few companies that would insure the house while an extension was being built.
They were helpful then and we've stayed with them for two more years as their quotes have stayed competitive.
