Vet Dentist

We took our recently adopted rescue dog Prince (not our choice of name!) to the VetDentist last month for a root canal treatment on an old canine fracture. Prince needed more work done than anticipated, and this was communicated with us during the procedure, so there were no hidden unexpected costs.

Prince is a nervous dog due to his history and his time in shelter, and we are working on his training and getting him used to going to the vets. The team were understanding of this, and supported us to put a plan in place so he could be treated effectively and safely.

Bob gave us options and advice regarding treatment and communicated well with us prior to Prince being referred by our vet. We felt well informed prior to and throughout the procedure. The information sharing regarding the procedure, pre, during and post surgery was second to none. We were given very direct, yet fair and helpful advice from Bob regarding ongoing care, which was also appreciated. The nursing staff were kind, compassionate and supportive. The lady on the reception desk was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the day - thank you.

Overall we are very glad that we went to the VetDentist. The prices were reasonable considering the length of time the procedure took and the specialist knowledge and skill of the team. Most importantly, Prince is much happier in himself since the procedure. Also, thanks to the guidance and advice from Bob, Prince is now enjoying his daily toothbrushing! Thank you all for taking good care of Prince.

I can't rate Bob and his team highly enough - professional, welcoming and reassuring. Bob is very down-to-earth, open and blunt with his assessments but this is always tempered with compassion - I always felt included and informed about my cat's health even if it wasn't always good news. The facility itself is modern, clean and really impressive, and the treatment they offered is excellent. If you have to take a pet to a dentist, this is the best one you can find!

We came to the vet dentist after a referral from our vet. Our dog Bella ended up needing a lot more work done than anticipated, Bob and the nurses took excellent care of Bella, we really appreciate all the work they put in to treat her. We need to go back for further treatment but feel better knowing what excellent care she will receive. Would also like to mention how friendly and helpful the lady was on reception, puts you at ease as soon as you walk through the door. Thanks to the whole team.

Following referral from our own vets we have had a great experience Vet Dentist. Organising appointments was hassel free and the care our dog received was excellent. It was also much less stressful with the Vet Dentist team handling our subsequent insurance claim. Overall a fantastic caring team that clearly explained why work was required!

Totally professional and kind!

We went to VetDentist with our six year old cocker spaniel Toby. Referred to him by our local vet for an invasive benign tumour on his lower jaw. Throughout the whole process, from first examination through to a complex procedure to remove part of the lower jaw, Bob was an absolute star. Both kind to the dog and caring staff the practice is first class. Great follow up calls and detailed reports with pictures on what he was going to do and post op pictures of what he had achieved, I have no doubt that without his expertise, Toby would for sure not be around some months later if not for completing his work.

Our boxer dog was treated here by Bob and his team of dedicated professionals. Appointments were communicated well and the aftercare has been great, checking in with his recovery progress etc. A big thank you from us all! Keep up the great work.

This was our second visit to Vet Dentist with our Scottie puppy Hazel who was born with lingually displaced lower canines which were causing her a lot of pain. Her lower baby canines were removed at the first visit and at her second visit she underwent crown amputation of her adult lower canines. We were kept informed throughout the whole of the procedure and everything was fully explained to us. We felt very confident entrusting Hazel to the highly experienced staff at Vet Dentist who treated her with love and kindness. We would highly recommend Vet Dentist.

I can not thank the vet dentist enough for the professionalism and helping our amazing little pup ! Our gorgeous little pup had a tooth impacting the roof of her mouth and we could see the amount of pain this had caused.

The vet dentist performed an absolutely life changing operation on her whilst also retaining the tooth !

Had an excellent experience with Bob and his team. After a serious accident our dog was in the operating theatre within a couple of hours of speaking to them. The team waited for us for over an hour to get there and then took molly in immediately. They had to work well past closing time to save molly’s teeth. Can’t rate them highly enough.

We took our puppy to VetDentist with an abnormally growing tooth which was causing her pain and discomfort. We were referred by our local Vet and we had a booking in a very quick timeframe. The journey to Harrogate was long and we didn’t know what to expect, on arrival we were welcomed and offered hot drinks. Everything was carefully explained to us, and the team at VetDentist are superb, so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble (we were even given directions to places to visit for the day - go to Harlow Carr we were told - what a great place).

We had a consultation with Bob Partridge who is so friendly and knows just about everything there is to know (there is a reason he is the top specialist in his field of animal dentistry). We agreed on treatment and expected costs and so the treatment was carried out that same day. This is done as so many people come from far afield and it minimises travel (very thoughtful). They do only see a small handful of patients per day so the care for each is very individual.

We know our puppy was very well cared for and the outcome is very good - she is no longer in pain and as happy as ever.

All the medication we needed was given on collection, an explanation of the procedure and how it had gone was given as well. A full e-mail with photos and x-rays was sent later that evening and to our Vet. There was even a follow up call the next day to check on her.

I would have no hesitation in reccommending VetDentist to anyone that needs their services - 10/10 would not be enough in my opinion.

A big thank you to Bob and his team for taking good care of Reggie our labrador on his recent visit. All the staff are very friendly both in person and on the phone. Bob explains everything well and we have no worries when we leave Reggie as we know he is in safe hands.

Our young puppy had a few issues with her teeth and was referred to VetDentist. What an absolutely brilliant place. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and all our questions (no matter how small) were answered. Everything was immaculately clean and we were offered a very welcomed drink after such a long journey. We saw Bob Partridge for the consultation and his knowledge and experience is second to none. So friendly and took us though the options and explaining each one and the pro’s and con’s. We agreed on a best course of action for our puppy, all costs were explained and agreed before going any further.

Surgery was performed that same day and I know our puppy was very well looked after (spoilt). When we picked her up we were told how things had gone (very well apparently) and given a course of antibiotics and instructions for her care over the next two weeks. We also booked in for a follow up appointment to check on progress in a few months. Everything was so clear and easy.

When we picked up our puppy we expected her to be very sleepy and not with it - oh no, it was like nothing had happened and she was so happy - I know she was well cared for.

Later that evening we received a very thorough e-mail documenting what had been done and the outcome, along with photographs and X-ray images (this also went to our local Vet). A follow up call to check on progress and answer questions was also received the next morning.

So a week later, we have a very happy normal puppy who is getting along just great thanks to Bob and his amazing team at VetDentist - THANK YOU - and thank you for recommending Betty’s to us :-) .

Firstly, I would like to thank the very kind and competent nurses for not only looking after and caring for my pug Charlie during an unexpected lengthy visit bestowed upon them, but also the surgeon and owner of the surgery for the tremendous work/ care (before, during and after surgery). It is clear to anyone who has even a fraction of love for animals that this clinic is some of the best hands of care/ treatment that one can pleasantly come across in order to better their animals’ health.

Anyone who disagrees is blindly delusional or frustrated that they are in such a situation of heightened emotion.

If there is one review you listen to in order to decide your pets future/ fate, let it be this one, you could not possibly get better specialised care within the entire country than this particular clinic that I’m sure you’ve been referred to by even your very own local veterinary practise.

Visited last week from Doncaster with one of our cats, Treacle. It was Treacle's 3rd visit to the Vet Dentist. Her mouth was in a very poor state originally. Now she has only a few teeth remaining but she is happy, eating well and has no pain. Another of our cats, Poppy, had all her teeth removed at the Vet Dentist a few months ago and since having her dental work done she is eating everything in sight and has gained a kilogram in weight.
The experience both cats and myself have had has been exceptional. After the initial examination has been conducted the procedure which needs doing is clearly and thoroughly explained and an estimate given. On discharge, images and X-rays are shown on a very large screen to aid with understanding of the condition and the procedure done. Also a very detailed explanation is given. These images and X-rays are then sent to you by email.
Mr Partridge and the full team are very caring with both their patients and clients. They are very professional, friendly and respectful. The practice is extremely modern with top of the range equipment to give their patients the best possible treatment and outcome.
I would highly recommend the Vet Dentist. I would like to say thank you to Mr Partridge and the team. The service you provided is second to none.

Our cat has been given the best care from the most friendly and excellent staff here. Our vets at home have been astonished by the surgical skill and care we received and couldn't believe how well our cat has recovered. Staff explained every step, always kept us updated on how our cat was doing, lovely follow up calls, emails and reports to ensure things were still going in the right direction. Staff gave us all the information needed to help us made an informed decision on the best course of action and there was no pressure to go in any direction. We will be forever grateful to the vet dentist. We have been twice and seen 2 different vets for ongoing treatment and both were friendly, caring, highly skilled, informative and gave our cat the best medical care. I could not recommend enough.
